If I have my movies filed in folders by type and I want to quickly add a collection tag to all of them, I have to manually select each one before I can do that. i can deselect easily but I can’t select them quickly. This would be a huge timesaver for people who also file their media in folders this way.

Not arguing against a ‘Select All’ feature, but you don’t have to select them one at a time.

So you can ‘Shift’ select… no that intuitive. Basically, I shouldn’t need to get to a forum to figure this one out… Please add “Select All” as well.

…could also filter for Kurosawa (or search) putting all of them on one page - making their selection… easy:
Pretty much how I found and added every Western in my library to a Westerns Collection - in moments. Also Science Fiction, Documentary, etc., etc., etc.
… but sure - let’s have a ‘Select All’ on that page… why not?
(when 206 Nervous Westerns appear in a herd with lightning (or Injuns) in the distance, selecting all of them before they STAMPEDE would be nice… I must admit).
This would be HUGE IMHO. I have some folders with several hundred items and scrolling is time consuming and not always reliable if you scroll too quickly and you can’t use the scroll slider on the right side.
It would be a small minority of users (if any at all) that wouldn’t want this and yet here were are Feb 2022 and it still hasn’t been implemented. It doesn’t say much about what the Plex powers-that-be think of their users. What is even more frustrating is that this isn’t even a Plex-wide problem (ie: all sections of Plex) because there’s a select/unselect all radio button for some things (eg: items in a collection, or seasons in a TV series). Just hover along the ‘row’ where it says how many items are in a collection or season and the radio button appears. So why on earth isn’t it available everywhere that selecting things is possible?!
any update on this? it seems like a trivial request to integrate.
