Please fix "Other Videos" libraries riddled with inconstancies

I am sure I am the only one that uses a “Other Videos” type library but I wold like to see a few issues fixed that have never been addressed:

  1. The poster artwork is Inconsistent between clients. Some display the artwork in widescreen 16x9 and some in 3x2 poster ratio. It’s impossible to add artwork that will consistently display correctly across devices. For example tvOS displays the artwork in 3x2 and Roku displays it at 16x9. It should be consistent, along with PLEX web were I would prefer the 16x9 format I think overall.

  2. When tagging an Other Videos with a collection that is shared across libraries it is currently displayed as “Movies”. I believe this should say “Videos” to distinguish a “Other Video” from a “Movie”. Much like “TV Shows” is displayed when a collection is shared from a TV library to a Movie library. Better yet PLEX should just use our library names instead. When displaying a collection. For example if I have two movies libraries created like “Documentaries” and “Movies” with collections that share between them, when viewing a related movie it should say “Documentaires in ABCXYZ Collection”.

Concur on the need to standardize the aspect ratio of artwork. :+1:

I am amazed, that in their wildest dream, Plex thought a library designed to be filled with stuff populated by a screenshot of the content, would EVER, in a million years, be suitable for ‘Poster’ shaped images.

Logic, has flown the coop, Ladies and Gentlemen…
(or it proves, beyond doubt, Plex founders, developers and employees take all their cell phone videos vertically)
