I would like if you could help me with choosing my NAS. I’m using Plex for a year or so, but PMS was always running on my PC, where I have 3TB Red disc, which I would like to use in my new NAS.
And currently I’m facing an issue, that I would like to buy a NAS around 300 USD, due to electricity consumptions in order to avoid my PC running all the time. And I wanted to buy Synology DS218play, but I have found out that it is not supporting Plex. Therefore I believe my options are Synology DS218j or WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra and running it without transcode. Or which NAS would you recommend?
Usually I would be using it on my TV or my ipad / iphone, therefore only one user in most cases. And I have been using my PS4 as a client.
Is there a NAS which would met my needs or am I better using a different software like Kodi, which I’m not familiar with?
