Please Help: Plex works with a browser but not with the Windows 10 App

Hello all,
I am new to Plex and really appreciate the program. Two days ago I purchased a lifetime subscription (after having used the program successfully for a short time) and now I am having problems.

Plex runs perfectly from the browser and the server works fine sending my videos to my television via the Plex app without a hitch. However, I cannot get the Windows 10 Plex app to start. I pinned the app to the taskbar and hovering over it just shows a window as if it were running but it is a blank page. Clicking on it does not start it or put the program on the screen. I have uninstalled and re-installed but that has not helped. The program I am referring to is the following:

Otto, Thanks for your reply. When I installed Plex (about 3 or 4 days ago) everything was running perfectly from the Windows app. Everything was beautifully, that’s why I purchased the lifetime option. Now I cannot get the Windows 10 app to work at all. I don’t know if I am understanding your reply correctly but the drivers were working everything seemed fine. I tried re-installing again after my post with no change. Help! :slight_smile: Or… I could just be satifisfied with the browser version. Is there any advantage to using the app?

@information: 30.0 will download the 1.30.1 update automatically during the first ~2 minutes that the app is open. Alternatively you can uninstall 1.30.0 and install 1.30.1 from our download site.
