Hello All. Looking for some advise. In general Plex works great for me, except when I attempt to steam a 4K movies that has 7.1 Audio… Then it freezes, etc. My PC is average, and when I check the PC nothing is maxed out (CPU, RAM, Network, etc)… So not too sure why it’s having issues with these files… Any suggestions?
As your TV network port is capped at 100Mb/s, most 4K titles with 7.1 audio, the files peak bit rate exceeds 100Mb/s. Your best option if 4K with 7.1 audio is required is to purchase a NVIDIA SHIELD pro which has Gigabit capabilities via HDMI

Good point! One thing though, Even if I attempt to use my Xbox One X to stream the same file with Plex, it’s better, but still has issues…
Check the server dashboard to see if Transcoding is occurring.
