I can’t play 1080 HD videos on my android, it’s limited to 720p, while I can do it on my iPhone… both are connected to the same wifi and have more than 150mb/s each, so it’s not a network problem…
Then it would be really great to optimize the aspect ratio options on android, currently it’s chaotic and not practical at all…
Please provide more details. Note that the quality options available are based on bitrate, not resolution. The resolution shown is what is used when transcoded. If transcoding is not needed, it will keep the source resolution.

The app will play at the aspect ratio the file is encoded at. We do not allow overriding this expect with the “stretch” scaling option during playback.
