Hi plex developer.

Could you please add aiff to these machines.
I tested it, and for these machines it works.

Android 10 (mobile &TV)
Plexamp
Windows apps
iOS

Can you please also make seperate Chromecast with Google TV section in profiles under xmls and add aiff there aswell.

(I Just fixed the chromecast its xml aswell::slight_smile:
But for chromecast, you might need to change transcoder to transcode to pcm, in case of any video

I tested Apple its implementation of AIFF.
Dont know if we are talking about the same thing? But maybe Both implementations work?

It is in the XML files in de zip file.

Android 10, iOS and Windows apps.

Android IT works with Google Chromecast avec Google TV, and all mobile versions i tested so far.

Also VLC media player works with android mobile and aiff

I would make a seperate Chromecast XML for Both Chromecast Ultra, and the Chromecast Google TV ones if I was a developer, since they Both support h265 and 4k hdr.

In the current release you seem to have included the ‘‘Direct Play’’ statue, while transcoding at the same time. This is not what I asked for.

It is now playing aac instead of the full wav/aiff quality.

And where did the profiles directory go on Ubuntu?
I need to check if you included my patches or not.
