Hi,
I upgraded my Plex instance from 1.10.1.4602 to 1.12.0.4829 a day or two ago, and since then Plex DVR does not record any shows.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
I’m running on Ubuntu 14.04 and recording from a HDHomerun (HDHR3-DT).
Thanks!

Please provide the server logs.

Is there any way of sanitising personal data from these logs before upload?

How about using the following command to generate the log file “errorlog.txt” containing only the errors and warnings?
grep -e WARN -e ERROR /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/Logs/Plex\ Media\ Server.* /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/Logs/Plex\ Tuner\ Service.* > errorlog.txt
Edit: The Tuner Service is of course also relevant ![]()
Thanks for your help, uglymagoo, but I’ve backrevved to my previous install for now.
Will see if the problem persists.
Incidentally, I’m aware I missed a Plex release (1.11.3.4803) and I was wanting to give it a try. But Plex seem to have a policy of not allowing previous versions for download, which is annoying. Do you know if this download is available anywhere legitimately?
I am experiencing the same issue with my the DVR function with the Homerun tuner. Plex server states that the program has been recorded however the .grab folder has 3 folders generated from the Plex server with nothing in them. During the recording procedure, no files are being written to any of the folders. Now i’m getting no write access to destination. It does not matter where the file is written.

Please create a new thread. Your problem might not be related at all to the problems of OP. He never told us about “no write access” issues. I suppose, either there is not free space left on your recording destination or you have some permission or network issues. And provide at least: operating system (are you also using Ubuntu 14.04?), information about your recording destination (network, local), logs.

The permissions issue was resolved as i created a new folder to test the dvr recording and forgot to change the permissions. After creating the i wanted to test to see if the problem exists on internal or external partitions… New folder recordings will not “save” their either, so as i suspected, it does record to either internal or external partitions. Plex server can create the folder for the show, however no media files are saved in any of the folders.

Where can i send the logs as opposed to pasting them there?

Anywhere: google, dropbox, apple, amazon, … It really does not matter. Just upload the logs somewhere and send me the URL via PM.
