On initial setup Plex DVR worked fine, not it is not recording anything. None of my equipment has changed, my hard drive is not full or anything simple like that. Is there any kind of number that I can call through the company to help me troubleshoot, or am I relegated to hoping I can find someone with the exact problem as me on the discussion boards. Going to cancel service if this can’t get fixed.
What OS are you running Plex Media Server on? Sounds like a permissions issue. Does Plex have write access to your target folder where you are storing your DVR recordings? Also check your logs when a recording starts. That likely will help you find out what is going on.
My installation is mostly failing to record as well. Strangely, it can record a couple of shows and movies (not characterized by any obvious pattern), and live TV works fine, but most recordings fail with no alert showing up in the log. All I see is something like this:
That show never actually appeared in the list of recorded TV shows, even though the DVR claimed to have started recording it.
I’m hosting the server on Windows 10 Pro.
