Plex 1.42.2.X stuck with "Processing. Please wait..." after upgrading my Synology to DSM 7.3.2

Hi all.

I just upgraded my Synology NAS DS218+ to DSM 7.3.2 and everything went smoothly, except with Plex. It said that version it wasn’t compatible.

I tried a manual upgrade on Package Center, but it was stuck at “Processing. Please wait…”.
I tried again after restarting the NAS, etc. but it still didn’t work.

Now I have uninstalled PLEX Server from the NAS and the problem is exactly the same. I am stuck at “Processing. Please wait…”

If I wait long enough, I get the message “The operation failed. Please sign in to DSM again and retry.”.

Any idea on how to fix this?

Thank you

UPDATE: I managed to install Plex from Package Center, but I can not upgrade it manually.

Which version of DSM did you upgrade from?

(Synology changed the package internals for DSM 7 and then again for DSM 7.2.2)

It sounds like it’s trying to migrate from DSM 6 → 7. (“Processing”)

That does take a long time – if migrating from DSM 6 (Plex shared folder) to DSM 7+

This message,

If I wait long enough, I get the message “The operation failed. Please sign in to DSM again and retry.”.

is DSM being over secure. It will interfere with these big tasks.
I set the idle timeout to 65535 minutes and keep it there :smiling_face_with_horns:

Upgrading from DSM 6 → DSM 7+ is detail-rich and requires human interaction.
