Hi,
I don’t know if this is the right . category but I don’t know where to put it:
I have my own Plex Server & Account for years and we use it daily. A friend of mine invited me to his via “invite user to home” (he has a plex pass) sent to my email address, now my plex account is gone. When I try to login, my account gets replaced with the one he set up and I cant go back / switch or whatever to my original account. additionaly my private server now needs the pin he set on his server.
he removed me again, so I am not in a “home” but I have to use the PIN he set up still. Also my username is gone and I cannot change it back because it already exists (duh)
The account is not (totally) gone. It became part of your friend’s Plex Home.
You should have gotten a warning that if you accept the invitation, your own Plex Home will be erased.
I see that you have already left the other Home again. Then all should be well.
Never had my own home or plex pass, so that cant be it.
Yeah I left but i still have the new username and still have to use the pin HE set. He cant change that because he removed me. but i still have to use it
The pin requirement might be still cached in the client. The safest way to re-read that is to sign out of your plex account, restart the client and then sign back in.
