Plex adds some episodes of a show but not others

Server Version#: 1.23.6.4881
Player Version#: I don’t know where to find this

I just moved my server from an old Ubuntu box to a new Ubuntu box. The transition went relatively smooth until I started adding new shows. The PMS will recognize the new show and add most, but not all of the files.

The bold files are not added regardless of my efforts with the plex dance and renaming files. What am I missing?

Have you already checked if the files might have been mismatched as duplicates of another episode?
You can do that by filtering your library by duplicates.

With the release year, season/episode and air date in the file names without much „structure to distinguish which is which this could cause some hiccups.

I’m not sure how to filter by duplicates

If I may add?

Look at the name which are bolded.

They do not end with .m4v they end with m4v.
PMS will not see these as media files.

That was exactly it. My old eyes missed the file extension at the end. I was paying too much attention to the beginning.

two sets of old eyes often work better than one
