Plex agent do not automatically recognize movies with non English title

Server Version#: 1.20.2.3402
Player Version#: latest

I have my films in non English locale with following naming convention

Folder Movie name (year)
Inside it file - movie title english [movie title not English] quality year.mkv

And this format is NoT auto recognized by Plex agent, only recognized when I’m trying to manual match them.

What convention should I follow?
My library language is not English.

Note: My system is set for English. Not sure how things will appear on non-English systems.
Suggest you use a test library with a few movies to see if you get the desired results.

If you are using the new Plex Movie agent you can add the IMDB ID or TheMovieDB ID to the folder and file name. Plex will use the ID to match the movie. See the support articles linked below for additional details.

Example:
/Movies/movie_name (year) {imdb-xxxx}/movie_name (year) {imdb-xxxx} [all that other stuff].mkv

I added two movies to my test library. One with the IMDB id for Avatar. The other with the IMDB id for Batman Begins. Plex used the IMDB ids to match the movies and pull metadata:

/Test Movies/blahblahblah {imdb-tt0372784}/blahblahblah {imdb-tt0372784}.mkv
/Test Movies/Frankenstein (1931) {imdb-tt0499549}/Frankenstein (1931) {imdb-tt0499549}.mkv

Long story short:
Use the official naming convention… just use the local title instead.

Movies <- the folder linked to your plex movie library
  Local movie Name (year)
    Local movie name (year).ext

Where .ext is the file extension.

The naming with the IMDb tag in the folder or file name is another option.

Thanks, imdb id in file name.solved.my issue.
