I have a Movies library (set up as per the Plex Naming Convention) and recently migrated from Windows 10 and PMS on it, to an Unraid Docker Container PMS.
Importing (migrating) the watchlist metadata into the destination PMS, I decided to upgrade to the Plex Movie Scanner and Agent.
In the Settings → Agents → Movies: I have the tabs “Personal Media”, “Plex Movie (Legacy)” and “The Movie Database”. Under “Plex Movie (Legacy)” I have set “Plex Movie (Legacy)” as the top additional agent in the order of preference.
Refreshing the Metadata and scanning the library, there are still MANY movies with the local metadata file names as the full movie name, and it is very annoying.
For the life of me, I don’t know how to have the clean movie title.

Can anybody help please?

The Plex Movie agent is no longer configured centrally across all libraries. Instead all the options are available per library in the Advanced tab (your last screenshot).

As for naming your movies…
Try to move the release year in brackets (so Plex understands this is the release year) and the technical stuff in square brackets (so Plex will ignore it).
It seems Plex already recognized Bolero and A Prairie Home Companion. The others should be named like this:

Movies <- the folder linked to your movie library
  The Circus (1928).ext
Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul (2017).ext
  Crooklyn (1994).ext
  Big Nothing (2006).ext
  Charlie and Boots (2009).ext
  Charlottes Web (2006).ext

Where .ext is the file extension
Sometimes it can speed up scans if you place each folder in their own subfolder (especially if you Plan to include some local extras), e.g.

Movies
  The Circus (1928)
    The Circus (1928).ext
    poster.jpg

Thank you for the prompt response.
I haven’t changed the naming for years.
See screenshots as per the naming convention minus the square brackets (I thought they were just supposed to be round brackets per the plex naming convention, including the ones containing the extra “metadata”)

Nice that Plex publishes a blog about a dog, but cant provide clear documentation to fetch a movie! Pun intended. ■■■■■■■ annoying certain changes are.

Edit your Library → Advanced → Uncheck Prefer local metadata.

This setting seems to be working.
