I have few series, where Plex TV Series agent (new one) miss-matches, this can be acceptable, but if i do fix match manually, and there is a new episode added into same folder, why is the new episode miss-matched exactly same as it was before my fix? I will have two series in the same folder, this should not be possible, right?
What can I do to prohibit that? Is there a way you can fix it?

How are your files for this show organized and named?
Ok, here is one real example:
I have a folder with name “Comedy.Central” where are files in subfolders like: “Season.2022”, etc.
The Plex library is set to use “Plex TV Series”, language: “Czech”.
Plex agent matched the series automatically as “Comedy Club (Russia)” year 2005.
Then I fixed match to proper “Comedy Club” Czech, year 2016.
So far so good, troubles start when I add a new episode, Plex TV Series agent will match it again as “Comedy Club (Russia)” and generates a new series in the lib, so i have to find the new wrongly matched and fix match to get it merged under the proper one.
What’s makes me wonder is, why agent generate a new series out of one folder with proper structure, where metadata already exists and even manually “fix matched”.
My expectation would be to respect the metadata of already matched folder.

Here is the recommended naming you should use with TV shows: Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support
TV libraries don’t support arbitrary subfolders. Your naming should always be something like <tv root path>/Show Name (Year)/Season 1/Show Name - S01E01 - Optional Episode Title.ext
A season folder isn’t technically required but is recommended, but you should never have other subfolders.
I do follow this naming convention, only with “.” instead of spaces.
File name is always e.g.: “comedy.club.s06e23.cz.mkv”
So why is the agent creating a new show for already existing one within same folder?
Can you tell me exactly what the full path looks like?
Yes. e.g.:
/media/tv/Comedy.Club/Season.06/comedy.club.6x26.czech.1080p.hdtv.x265.mkv
But still, this is not about wrong match, this is something i can live with.
What bothers me is the fact it can create several “metadata” shows out of one folder structure.

this is part of one show:
/media/tv/Comedy.Club/Season.06/comedy.club.6x25.czech.1080p.hdtv.x265.mkv
But this is in another?
/media/tv/Comedy.Club/Season.06/comedy.club.6x26.czech.1080p.hdtv.x265.mkv
One would think, once there is a new file / new episode, in already matched TV show folder, there will be no more matching, only add of new episode and then perhaps metadata refresh.
That’s how it does work, and that’s how it works when I test your example. There must be something else going wrong here.
Can you just upload your server logs for me, that will give me more information that may be useful.
