Plex Amp - Display Original Language Artist Name

Hello!

New to Plex (setup my unRAID server about 3 weeks ago).

Recently paid for the Lifetime Plex Pass because I want to support the developers and found PlexAmp as part of the Pass.

One thing I would like to know is, is it possible to have PlexAmp display artists in their original language name, not their romanized name?

As an example, I love listening to 坂本 真綾 (Sakamoto Maaya). PlexAmp correctly targets the English language name, Maaya Sakamoto which is great if that’s what a person wants. In this case, I can speak Japanese and read some Japanese and would like the PlexAmp display to reflect the metadata in the Kanji/unicode files I have, not move to English friendly versions.

Is this possible and I am missing it in the plethora of (great) settings available?

Would I need to uninstall then reinstall in Japanese language to get this capability? Is there a setting on the server I can click to keep original metadata?

If not, I will keep using PlexAmp so it isn’t a deal breaker, but I would like to set it to see original metadata vs matched if possible.

Thanks, and sorry if this was already asked. I searched but couldn’t find anything I thought relevant.

This is nothing specific to Plexamp.
Plexamp is just a Plex client.
As such, it shows the data like they come to it from the various media sources.
With the main source being your own Plex server.
So, if you want to rename an artist, go to your music library in the web app and do so.
