Plex Amp EQ settings and Android EQ bug

Hello,

Let me say 1st im a huge fan of plexamp. It has resolved my roon seperation quite well and I love that i can reuse an old pixel 4 XL phone as my new DAP.

Im curious about two things:

1- how often do you guys update the EQ database for IEM and headphones. And is there a way to import different options if the one im looking for is not in the list.

2- In the section for the EQ, in the speaker section, sometimes the toggle switch to toggle “use customer preset” will not move. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and of course rebooted the device and it wont work. Any suggestion?

I was just wondering the same thing.

I have a headphone that I find in Autoeq, Wavelet and Symfonium, but not in Plexamp.

And it is literally a 1yr old headphone

We just grab updates every few months/releases from upstream GitHub - jaakkopasanen/AutoEq: Automatic headphone equalization from frequency responses

Hmm, is it possible this is with a non-bluetooth device? We need to know what specific device it is to allow custom setting.

I was just going to make a post about an eq that’s not in the plexamp preset eq list, they are the Heavys H1H headphones, and I just double checked they are in the github you posted but not in the plexamp eq list, would be nice to have them in there they are the only headphones I use with my iphone.

We typically update them periodically, so I’m sure it’ll be in the next release.

my apologies for such a late response, I have this happened on an iPhone 15 running running the latest iOS as well as running iOS 26 beta and the device is connected to it normally are a USB-C DAC from Kiwi ears or just a normal wired IEM from china . It doesn’t happen with Bluetooth headphones. Thank you for your response to the question.
