TV or phone ? I think my TV has a 100Hz refresh rate. It’s an old LG 42lm649s-zb.
Same here, media notifications off fixed the problem for me
Multiple tries this morning, tried the zoom trick, media notification, no luck.
But I noticed something : when I hit the “cast” button in Plex on my phone, my TV screen turns grey with the Play arrow in the lower left corner and the mention “Choose a media and play it here” just as it used to do.
But instead of displaying some “wallpapers” related to the media I have in my Plex database as it used to be, it flickers for a second and the font displaying “Choose a media and play it here” changes.
Could it be related to the problem ?
Media notifications off also worked for my S21 android 12.
Try this… Settings, advanced, secure connections, always.
Done this, still not working.
Tried from my son’s iPad, everything works fine (just to prove that the problem is only with S21).
This Notification “Trick” does it for me as well. Switch Off Media an PLex is playing instantly - Switch On - Circle of no Playback. Odd, but now it works. Thanks.
Would someone be able to try this build for me after enabling media notifications for Plex again. This disables the Android media session which is displaying the notification, will help me narrow down the cause.

This would only fix the problem if the media notification was causing an issue for you. Yours looks to be different if its not being solved by that.
Have you tried entering the Android recovery and clearing the cache partition? Instructions are available above.

Have you tried any other video applications, like the Samsung Video Player and YouTube?
Yes, every other applications (YouTube, Deezer, Netflix, Prime Video, Google Photos) is able to cast on my TV without any problem, only Plex is causing me troubles.
Tried this beta build too, but bug not solved for me either, however, as soon as I disable the media notification it works fine!
To confirm this beta build does not resolve the media notification issue with S21 Ultra.
Beta build with the media notification enabled also failed to play media for me. As Sunnyd24 said though, turning off the media notification with the beta did still solve the issue… so nothing went backwards at least!
