Beta software on the NAS? Thought I’d double check.
No on the andriod site. You can opt-in to it in the playstore

I’ve still got the same problem with the BETA, even trying to play music albums.
I already replied to a similar Samsung Android 12 thread with the same issues everyone is describing here
The only thing I have found to get videos to play is to restart my phone.
Offer things I’ve tried did NOT help: stopping the Plex app, clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, downloading content (formerly Sync).
I did hope this gets resolved soon.

I’m disappointed (not surprised) that no official Plex employee has chimed in to at least acknowledge the issue.

Yup, I just went to watch a couple videos from different servers on my S21 Ultra and get nothing but the spinning circle. I was also recently updated to Android 12. I hope this gets fixed soon!
What’s interesting is that I’ve got a S21 (not ultra) which was upgraded to android 12 last week and so far I’ve NOT run into this problem.
I typically don’t watch a huge amount on my phone but have watched 4-5 episodes of different shows since the upgrade to android 12. These would all have been remote plays away from my home network. Pretty sure no transcoding was happening incase that’s a factor but will confirm that.
Maybe I’ve just been lucky. Running latest beta server and beta android client of plex.
I have tried everything, joined beta channel on the server and beta on my android phone. Same issue, cannot play anything on my phone from the server.

Can confirm the same her with my S21. needs resolved asap. Paying for a service that is basically unusable for me right now.

Also confirming that Plex on my S21+ isn’t playing video files anymore after updating to Android 12. Same symptoms with the infinite loading circle. The workaround with using an external player (Samsung’s video player) works. Plex on my Tab 7+ (Android 11) works fine.
I raised this BUG on 8th October whilst on OneUI 4.0 beta 1, beta 2 and beta 3 with Samsung S21 Ultra. Another user also reported an issue a few weeks later.

It was no use posting here as the Plex team don’t read or support plex pass users (even though I am helping them out by supplying beta information early on to quickly resolve problems) and low and behold it has affected the majority of users here that have posted here.
Since 8th October, I have not been able to use Plex with the circle of death appearing on every video load. This affects live streams too.

As I don’t see this problem I’m wondering what might be different for me…
I don’t use the Samsung One UI Home launcher. I use a custom launcher called Nova (available from google store). May or may not be a factor but said I’d mention it.
I also use nova and have the issue still.
Restarting the Phone or the Server do solve the Issue. But if somewhen stop watching and start again it didnt work until the next restart.
Really annoying that nobody of Plex Support is looing into this.
I have the same issue here, since the latest update on my S21, Plex doesn’t work anymore when I try to chromecast anything from it. I got the “Sorry, something went wrong” message each time.
Casting from another device still works, proving that the issue comes from my phone.
Confirm Plex does not work with Android 12 after the upgrade. Am using Galaxy S21. Please fix the issue.

I’m testing over here on my Samsung S21 Ultra and don’t seem to have any problems with playback. I’ve been on the beta program for Android 12 release and for Plex playback it’s been pretty smooth.

Thanks for the logs, what issue is it your seeing, playback loads and gets stuck on the spinner and never plays?
