Is there a reason that having the Developer options enabled (Pixel 10 in my case) on Android prevents the Plex app from starting properly?
With Developer options enabled in Android, I only get the Plex splash screen, never get the login. If I turn it off I get the sign-in screen. I know some other Android apps that does not let you do things if Developer options are enabled.
FWIW, I’ve developer options enabled on my Pixel 6a, Android 16, and the Plex app, 2026.3.0, works OK.
Maybe something specific to the Pixel 10?
I have a 10pro and it opens fine with developer options enabled.
There is certainly some possibly that there is some particular option within it that causes issues but I am not aware of anything intentionally done to restrict their use.
Ok so I can reproduce it.
Setting the “Transition animation scale” to OFF is what causes it to not load. Setting it to 0.5x or higher lets the app load.
Interesting. On thing I noticed once is that rentals and free stuff wouldn’t launch with developer mode enabled.
