Plex (Android) Sync/Local Content

OK. So since they had the complete redesign, I just cannot figure “Sync” out. After I sync data I can now at least see all Sync’d data and delete all or none of it with ease (hurray!).

The problem I am having, is I cannot actually see the content in its respective section to PLAY it without being “offline” (no connectivity WiFi or LTE). The option for “This Device” or “Local Content” does not show up at all anymore. When I click “Airplane Mode” on my phone, I can see the “Local Content” and everything I Sync’d to my device. The moment I uncheck “Airplane mode”, Plex connects right back to another service and “Local Content” disappears from the list again.

WHAT AM I MISSING!? I now miss the older UI very much because I cannot easily Sync data for my long rides to work so I do not have to use my limited data. Not sure why I am paying for Plex Pass at this point since I cannot reliably (see: easily) play back my Sync’d content.

(ignore the “save movies”, that’s the name of one of the sections/folders/whatever, it is NOT my actual saved items).

Activate the Offline Mode within the Plex app. No need for airplane mode for the whole device.
Tap on your user avatar top, left.

Ahhh thank you! I liked it better when it let me select this device/local content, but glad I can get to it without airplane moding it!
