Plex Android TV player won't direct play/stream 4K HEVC/H.265 on Hisense UHD TV

Could have sworn my Hisense 50H8G Android TV setup did direct stream 4K H.265 a few months ago but have now realized PMS won’t automatically select a 4K/H.265 version to play anymore but only 1080p/H.264.

If I manually select a 4K version, PMS insists on transcoding 4K(H.265)->4K(H.264) but audio is direct stream.

There doesn’t seem to anything to configure in the Plex Android TV player involving Direct Play/Stream of 4K/H.265 but Netflix 4K/DV streams on this TV just fine.

As of Android TV Player Version#: 8.27.2.9938, 2160p HEVC is back to Direct Play.
