Plex App Crashes on SONY Android-TV

Hi All,

So recently as yesterday I’ve logged onto my plex server to notice the plex server app was not running.

After a bit of testing I found that the Plex Media Player for my SONY Android TV (AF8) is making it crash when on the Home screen. If you’re quick enough to avoid the home screen you can go on to play content. But if you do anything on the home screen it causes the plex server app to crash.

I also have an Nvidia Shield with the exact same version of the Plex Media Player and there are no issues. It seems to be isolated to the media player on the android tv.

To get a better understanding of what I mean I have uploaded a short video showing the issue here.

I have also attached the logs as I don’t know what I’m looking for.

Hi.

Watched the video… That is very strange how it crashes the Server side.

Have you tried resetting the Home Screen customization on the TV App?

Yh very strange indeed. Cheers for the suggestion. I reset the home screen customisations and that seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks you.
