Hi,
I have Plex media server running on my PC which hosts all of my media. I have have the player installed on my Sony Bravia Android TV, and i use it on my Android phone too
All works well on my PC and phone, laptop etc, and the TV did too until recently
In the last 2 or 3 weeks, whenever i launch the Plex app on my TV, it starts to load, and once i have the Plex logo for a few seconds, it just crashes out and returns to the TV home screen.
I have temp fix this in different ways each time - if i fix it today 1 way, that wont work tomorrow for example. Fixes include
Clearing cache
Clearing app data
Force closing app
Restarting TV
Or removing and re-installing Plex (this always works but not convenient)
Is there something i am missing? I have updates Plex everywhere i can. I cant see to update the version on my TV, however if i reinstall it, it surely downloads and installs the latest version?
Anybody else having this issue?
I also have access to a friends collection, which i always have and has always been fine, so i don’t see how this could cause any issues, but thought i’d mention it
Any help is greatly appreciated, as i currently have to play it on my phone and case it to the TV, and the whole reason i got an Android TV was to be able to use the native app on the TV
