I just got the new Google TV streamer today as it was just released. I can’t seem to find the Plex app when searching under apps. Is it not available yet? Server Version#: Player Version#: <If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I thought that thing was still on pre-order It would just be our normal Android app. Should be able to hit the green “install on devices” button and choose your device. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plexapp.android

Yes, you can install it from your phone once the streamer is setup and on the same network and your Google account. You go to Google play store and select the Plex app then choose what other device you want to install it on.

Thanks for this fast response Mike! Is your setup so that you host the movies on a NAS in your network? I am looking for a simple setup that doesn’t require an extra PC. I currently use my laptop from work and don’t want to host the movies there.

Kinda, I’m not using a standalone NAS exactly, I’m running Plex server from a PC with a lot of harddrive space for content. I’ve never ran it from a standalone NAS - I’ve ran server from a PC with a external NAS but my current setup is with internal drives.

But are you aware that if your Movies have True HD Atmos or DTS:X, they won’t play correctly? And there is also no working passthrough for HD Sound. Its a streamer, not a media player.
