just discovering this forum as i just encounter the same probelm u all have : no plex app on panasonic.
and so sad, discovering the state where you/we are considering panasonic position
i have no developper skill and can't fring my support, but can't we create a facebook account to leverage on panasonic ?
i read that some of you did taht ? can't we meet your effort and 'like' it ?
the job is done or almost, can't we all push to have or let's pana find a decision ?
the point is clear for them ; their equipment is a support ; if we can't put value added service on top of it, let's see what competitors do. Pana is surely one of the best tv... but the tv experience is now a whole...
last question, is it possible to use easily the development done without using panasonic app store ?

on a side note I've been using DLNA from plex for a little while - has anyone found their moves streamed from plex this way judder every so often, it's like the tv can't keep up, I don't get the problem to my sony tv - noticed on 1080 and 780p content, also seen it when played file from USB connected to TV so thinking the tv can't handle bit rate some times ?
I have no trouble with a judder on G30, DLNA streaming full BR remuxes, all video "sensitive" devices with high bandwidth requirements wired, not on wifi. Maybe it's a matter of PLEX server settings, try that. Or maybe indeed your tv model can't cope :( The only problem I have with DLNA is how excruciatingly BAD and rudimentary it looks on Panas, navigating to a movie is a royal pain, rewinding or ffwd is non existent, subs do not work with mkv's AT ALL.
PLEX APP IS A MUST! :)

Sounds like a good idea. What did people do to manage to get through Samsung. I think I have read that there was a pain in the a** to get them to work with the team who developed the app for Samsung. Maybe we can do the same to get panasonic to listen.

I'm in NZ and also willing to support the app development, even if not thru the "official" channels.
I've emailed NZ support and they've offered to pass on my complaint to Japan in their next customer feedback summary.
I'd happy sign a petition to show support as well.
Hopefully someone at Panasonic will get a clue and realise that they've employed morons for dev support. No wonder there are so few apps for the TVs when the threshold is so hard to reach to build one.
Please keep working on this VieraApp, I hope you get somewhere rather than having to redo it in the other SDK.

Update: hmmmmmmmmmm: I checked my Viera VT25 and I surely have the Viera store with the latest firmware, I see quite a few apps! Wondering if I'd see this if it gets approved!
How does Samsung manage to offer PLEX but Panasonic not? Surely this is affecting sales negatively for Panasonic. Did PLEX develop the Samsung app or was it a 3rd party developer? If it was developed by PLEX then surely PLEX can approach Panasonic (and other manufacturers) to offer the app on the majority of Smart TVs (or am I missing something here?). Id happily pay for PLEX on my TV just as I paid for it on my iPad. Im confused as to why this not possible?

For what it's worth, I sent Panasonic NL a complaint on Facebook, recently I got a response that they are very sorry to hear this (blabla), and that they have forwarded my remarks internally. Probably won't scare them, but it's one more little signal that people care about this.

I think it would be the best if VieraApp starts an online petition. Telling, that he has worked so hard and its working but Panasonic doesn't want to publish it, because of nonsense. Maybe we can win bigger attention with this.

I haven't started an AJAX-CE version yet, and I don't think I'm going to. Thank you all for your support (I see a lot of FB posts), but this experience has been very frustrating. I have been wrongly accused of "hacking" several times, despite using the same methods available in their SDK & tutorials (jQuery and XMLHttpRequest). I have provided exact details about how the app works and the entire source code was made available to them, but they continue to claim that what I was doing was impossible without hacking. That is an ignorant and 100% false statement, and I frankly have been insulted by such accusations.
I completely regret my Panasonic VIERA purchase. I have a smaller Samsung TV in my basement and the Plex app works wonderfully on that. Since I am stuck with my Panasonic, I have resigned myself to use a Roku and will probably not pursue any further Panasonic VIERA development.
