Plex App For Xbox 360 is just bad!

ok ive narrowed my problems to the xbox 360 app, my rokus and my android and my sony bluray opera apps work just fine... however the first problem with the xbox app is that it kills the plex app on the server frequently forcing me to go to the pc and click plex media server to start it back up, this has got to be a bug in the app, im stress testing the server and two shows are playing on my rokus just fine.

 

the second problem is if you have two xbox 360s when you activate one it will connect and continue to connect, until you activate the other and then it invalidates the first Xboxes connection forcing a repin.

 

guys lets get this app right, any news on updated app for xbox 360? its more intuitive and quick than the opera app on my blu ray players. I have the rokus in the kids bedroom and my office, the living room both have a 360 and a blu ray player, im forced to use the blu ray which takes time to load the opera apps and the quality on the xbox app is better when it works

 

so any news on when well get a working xbox 360 app that wont knock server down and will allow more than one xbox to be registered???  btw this issue has followed every version of plex server on my pc and I have the latest just released the other day still an issue, so it has to be the xbox app.

Also have this problem and like you would like to see a update on the Xbox 360 app to fix this. Even if they made it so you could select a managed user this could solve part of the problem.

I fixed my server dropping problem it was due to station ripper software, however not being able to use it via lan network on xbox more than one xbox and even concurrently has forced me to buy two new roku 2s which I am happy with. However not having to have extra equipment would have been nice. Not sure what all is involved between plex and xbox to get it done but it’s still version 1.0 so it hasn’t had any update

Plex for the 360 is pretty much useless. Crashes, random loss of connection, sync is off by 10 sec or more. Watch the same content on my Xbox One and have no problems at all. I have tried for hours to make it work. The only thing Plex did that works on the 360 is create a DLNA media server that the Xbox 360 system media player can access.

bottom line, if you are using a 360, find another way to stream! Love it for other devices, just not for the 360
