Plex app on Apple TV does not show tv shows trailers

Hello Plex community,

Question; I watch movies and tv shows on my Apple TV with the Plex app.

if I select a movie it shows the trailer button but if I switch to tv shows the button isn’t there.

What am i missing?

Note: Certain clients do not yet fully support TV extras but keep an eye out on our forum as our support pages will be updated once official support is available. Currently, the only clients that fully support extras at all levels are the mobile iOS and Android apps. Other apps like the Web client, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku have limited support while the modern TV interface for Smart TVs does not yet have support for any local TV extras.

Thanks for your reply. The thing is, if i use the Plex app on my LG tv both movies and tv shows show a trailer button.

And when i use Plex on my Apple TV it shows the trailer button when i select a movie but not when I select an episode of a tv show.

Ah yes, we need to update out support article. The LG app does support TV Show extras now.

On AppleTV, I just checked, and the trailers are listed, just not the button at the top. They likely haven’t added that yet.

Oké thanks. I’ll just have to wait then for them to add the button. Because the extras aren’t showing as well, only if I add them as a season 0

Do you see them in Web? How are you naming them?

Webb is showing everything as it’s supposed to be so it is working fine. But it’s not showing the trailers on the Apple TV yet as you mentioned before. I’ll just have to wait then for them to support the trailer button as on the LG tv.

Even without the button, the trailer should still appear below the cast under ax “Extras” header just like in Web. What version of the app do you have?

There isn’t anything showing under cast. My Plex version on the Apple TV is 7.26 (1744)

I have deleted the app and reinstalled it and now it is showing up under the cast. Thanks for your help
