Hi, was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and knows a solution?… here goes
I set up Plex server on my unraid server. I have about 4 friends I share files with remotely with no issues
I also have another 8 decides on my LAN that connect to my Plex server (not at same time)
The issue is (and has only just started doing it)
My iPhone 12pro will not now connect to my server remotely. I get the issue above stating offline/not connected to the internet. It’s fine on my home network/LAN
Yes I did pay to use an iOS device with Plex
And it was working fine before amd I haven’t altered anything??
Haven’t been able to use Plex on my iPhone for over a month. Posted about it multiple times here. No help. The fact that this app has no support and has the gall to have you pay should be criminal.
Yea support is none existent. Tbh the fee for the extra features is cheap if it works but also if you feel the other way you don’t need to pay for it to work
Does any other device of yours work remotely? I see on your screenshot that you aren’t on WIFI.
This looks like maybe a remote connection issue. If that’s the case, I’d expect the “remote access” option in your server may indicate it is accessible or not outside your network.
EDIT: Just relooked at the error. Did you disable Plex being able to use cellular data in the settings of your iphone? Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > Toggle switch next to Plex
Yes I have several family members using my server remotely with no issue. Only seems to be hit and miss when using my iOS app. Sometimes I get this error but I can still view my media folders on the left and play them. Other times not. Seems to be an iOS app issue not a Plex server one
