What did Simplex do that got it through the door?
From what elan said, the only reason for the latest rejection had to do with linking back to the plex website. Apple is picky about some of these things.
Functionality wise, I am guessing Plex is working fine and passes all the technical reviews.
Same here, it just arrived. Look forward to playing with it tonight. Hopefully, Apple will be approving the official Plex App today! You’d think they’d be less strict with relatively few apps available on the Apple TV Store for now…

First thing I did was jump into my US Apple account and install all the US Apps, then shoved myself back on my UK one. Best thing is they stay there and do not disappear like the previous ATV. Now I just shove my VPN on when I wanna use the US apps. And yeah, the U.K. has always been given the short straw for content. Hopefully because they’ve opened up development that will change.

I read that you can have multiple accounts on the new Apple TV - but I guess it’s only for same country accounts? I assume you logged out of your US account and then logged in to the UK one?
Just picked my ATV4 up from the Apple Store. Was disappointed when I went on the App Store from the model and didn’t see the Plex App, but I guess I’ll fork over $2.99 for SimPlex until then. Been running Plex off of my Samsung TVs and just tired of the buffering and audio sync issues, thinking the ATV processor should be able to handle things better, but not buying another ATV until there’s some kind of progress made on the release. Can’t wait!

You do have a multiple account option then just sign into which ever one you want when you wanna download an app from whatever store. Regardless of your VPN all the apps you download still show.

And regardless of difference of country? Sorry not sure if this is what you meant by regardless of your VPN

Anything good on the UK site yet, iTV Player, Demand 5, All 4 etc ? I know there will be a wait until iPlayer from the beeb gets released but at least they now confirmed they are working on it

Rumour has it that Apple will be fixing that ‘bug’ soon!

There is no major uk network apps yet. Everything on ATV3 in the UK is on it, the rest of the apps are games, utilities apps, nothing stands out as of yet.
I have 2 aTV’s that shipped but decided to go ahead to the Apple Store and pick up 2 - 32GB models today.
I won’t say Plex is the only reason I’m buying it, I would’ve purchased it anyway but Plex is a major major want.
I haven’t cared for how personal movies have be implemented since the aTV 2 just creating an ever growing list of movie titles. C’mon Apple - let Plex into the app store.
