So far so impressed! Very very nice. Great interface, quick and well integrated. Actually makes the likes of Netflix and even some of the Apple apps look a bit half-developed. If only PMP could use this interface!!

So on the swiping preview during playback, I have some movies that it works on, and some that it doesn’t work on. So I guess it depends on the file or something.
Wont play my recorded tv from WMC it will work on everyother plex client and simplex! Edit: I can get it to work if i start the stream in Simplex and then play it from the plex app.
We will be providing the nice thumbnails during seek in a future server update.

Just try plex on Apple TV and I am disappointed in comparison with Samsung app as Apple TV app need to go thru transcoding and the Samsung app do not use transcoding. Some evolution planned?
It certainly makes connecting to itunes servers around the house look like a complete joke.

I am insanely happy! Thank you!! I was even able to use Siri search while in the app to do basic things like go to TV series. I only hope that someday my Plex content will be worked into the unified search.

Short answers , but there is probably some way to have no transcoding no. For example Vlc do not need transcoding on ios
Why am I having to transcode iTunes m4v files? The audio is direct stream, but the video is being shown as transcoded. These are definitely AppleTV compliant files as they were purchase from iTunes. I don’t have this issue on Roku. I have the Local Video set to unlimited.
EDIT: Nevermind. Didn’t realize the one video I would choose has some forced subs causing the transcode. Sorry for the false alarm. Beautiful app btw.

A big wow, it’s so fast, detailed. I have one issue though, it’s looking like, I will have to buy another Apple TV.
Great job, I was expecting something similar to the Samsung app, don’t think I will be using that app any more…

I like the bright theme. If anything, it should change colors based on current sun position (whether it is bright outside or not)…

Goodness me, even the iPlayer channel works wonderfully giving us a solution until BBC can be bothered to grace us with their own app. Huge thanks and congratulations to the Plex team again for their work on this. I really hope you’re able to dig into the universal search api in the coming months.
I just wish there were a way to convince Apple to support 24p.

Can someone please describe how well (if at all) Siri integration works with Plex on tvOS?
I’ve been waiting so long for this day! While PlexConnect worked wonders, I’m happy to remove a dependency from my media setup!
