Plex app on popcorn hour a-410

Hello,


I have a synology NAS 1511+ with a plex server package running on it.

I am trying to install the plex app on my popcorn hour a-410, but I get stuck at the setup menu.

The menu asks me for the ip adress and the port nr which is no problem.

But then it asks me if I want to use the “local player” (translated from Dutch so I am not sure what it exactly says on english models).

It also asks me if I want to use the SMB path and if I want to switch background?


But the biggest struggle I have is with the “configuration file” button on the bottom.

If I press this, I get 2 options:

  • choose configuration folder
  • test current configuration


    If I test the current configuration I get an almost empty page and this doesn’t seem to do much for me.


    If I choose the configuration folder I get a new screen where I am being asked to browse a certain file.


    Where is this file?


    Hope you guys/girls can help me out with this!

I have a similar setup and did not do anything with the configuration files.  I think you can ignore those options as well.

Ok it looks like it is solved! At first it didn’t do anything when I exit this menu, but after I fumbled a littlebit with the user rights (still don’t know exactly what I did) and exit this menu Plex suddenly started. So problem solved!

Hey guys sorry I jumped the gun on the PLEX app. So I got it all working but when I went to access PLEX on the A-410 it said "No data found" has anyone had this happen and if so is there a fix/reason? I went so far as to reset the A-410 to factory defaults and set it all up again same issue still persists.

once you play a DTS HD file on the Popcorn Hour A-410 thro plex app dose it shows on the resiver as DTS HD ??
