Plex App on Windows 11 causes GPU to spike to 100%

I have had trouble using the Plex app on my laptop. It’s done this for several versions where just opening it up causes the GPU (iGPU on i7-10510U) to spike to 100% (on the 3D tab in task manager). The computer becomes sluggish and sometimes I can’t even watch the movies. I only try to use the Plex app when I’m camping I’d like to be able to download a bunch of my media to my laptop for offline viewing. On the same computer the web interface works fine, no slowdowns.
