Plex App to Recognize my server as a local network

My tv plex app keeps giving me the " remote playback, requires a remote watch pass" message even though it’s on the same network as my server. I know this is because of my vpn but I want to know if there’s a way I can make them connect without having to disable my vpn every time.

  1. In Windows settings → Network & Internet → Status → Properties, ensure the local network is private, not public.

  2. In the VPN software, allow access to the local network even when the VPN is up.

  3. In the VPN software, enable split tunneling and allow Plex Media Server to bypass the VPN.

  4. Client says it won’t play from “remote server”, although the server is local
