Hi,
I like to play my local library to my Cambridge CXNv2 network player using the plex app. The weird thing is that the android and iphone apps can see the player and I can play my library no problem, while the windows app or plex in a browser cannot see the network player. Is anyoneaware of the issue and know what to do in this case?

Looking at that device’s specs on their website it appears to support Airplay and I am guessing that is how the mobile apps are connecting to it. The windows and web app do not support Airplay
The Player supports Air Play, Chromecast and Spotify Connect. I am pretty sure my android phone uses chromecast while with my ipad I can choose to connect with both chromecast or airplay.
It is a mystery to me why using the web app or windows app does not find the player, since I guess they are compatible at least with chromecast. Or maybe not?
the windows app is not compatible with chromecast. chromecast only supports iOS. Android and Chrome browser as sending devices.
we use googles official chromecast API for web app. ( to be clear you need to use cast menu in chrome browser not in the web app. it will not work from some other browser like Edge.
Now I understand, thank you! Will chromecast be featured in the future by the web app? I think lots of music lovers would like something like that in order to use one single app for everything!
The only browser official chromecast api works with is Chrome. https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/reference When you click “Cast…” in the web app it will open the browsers cast menu because that is just how it works.
