Maybe I’m missing something obvious here but I’m having the following issue over and over again that if I start the player before the server starts then I’ll get the following error when attempting to play anything:
There was an error navigating to the specified item. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again.
Try again doesn’t work.
I’m running the server on my desktop and I turn it off while I sleep so in the morning when I power on my PC and my TV then if plex player starts before plex server I get the previously mentioned error but if server starts before player then all is good.
It would seem that server connection is determined on player start but not on “Try again” for some reason.
Both my Philips 58pus8545 and ChromeCast 2020 with Android TV (plugged into my old TV) have this issue.
Is there any way to tell the app to retry the server connection or any other suggestions on how to deal with this issue? Currently the fix is to restart Android and that is not the most pleasant fix

EDIT: I can still cast from plex web app to TV while TV app itself can’t play videos.
