Plex Apple TV app crashes

I’ve been waiting a year for a fix. This only appears on Apple TV Plex app. Works fine on iPhone Plex app. About a year ago, when browsing photo and video content, maybe 5% of the time selecting an item would crash the app. Since a year ago, it crashes the app 100% of the time. I can play music and Hollywood movies from those libraries without issue on the Apple TV Plex app. But, the Apple TV Plex app will not play content from the Photos or Other Videos libraries. Period. Calling any item crashes the Plex app on Apple TV. Again, everything works fine from iPhone Plex app.

I’m a Plex pass subscriber. Ten yrs experience with Plex. Thirty years with Linux.

PMS log provides no Errors.

No Error entries in Apple TV log despite enabling verbosity.

I just started running into this issue as well today. The Apple TV app is now consistently crashing on my Apple TV 4K and it started with no changes to the software on my end through the entire chain (server, tvOS, etc.). It crashes consistently the moment either the Aerial screen saver activates as well as the second the Plex app loses active focus.

Plex has turned into garbage bloatware.

The Plex app on TV OS on a new LG tv works fine. And that app version is from mid 2022.

The Apple TV app simply gets no attention, at all.
