Plex Arcade - Not Recognizing Cores

I’ve added additional cores using the provided instructions at https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-game-files-and-cores/ and even using the CoreManager app https://coremanager.app with no success. Restarted server and confirmed core file type, location, and XML file were correct. Not seeing anything in the logs, but not really sure which log file would actually hold pertinent information about this issue. I’m also not seeing any ROMS (SNES with .sfc file extensions, even tried zipping them up) though I am seeing different game system folders I created from within the Plex interface. What am I missing?

Server - MacOS 10.15.7
PMS - 1.21.2.3943-a91458577

please post server logs (enable debug logging, disable verbose).

if you’re not seeing roms show up in the first place after scanning the library, then it’s likely they’re not matching. doing a scan and posting logs might give us more clues on that side.

How do I write the RetroCores.xml file to work for multiple platforms. I can only find how to write it for one core at a time.

This works great for Super Nintendo:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

But when I try to add additional cores it does not work, for example…

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

I’m sure I’m just coding wrong, but I’ve tried everything I can think of and there is no tutorial that I can find.

Somebody please help!

we recommend using the Core Manager Core Manager for Plex Arcade

that’ll do the edits for you.

I’ve tried this core manager and am also on osx. It’s not working.

Have you tried snes roms with the extension .smc?
