So liking the new web interface and I have some suggestions for a feature I would find EXTREMELY useful.
I’m looking to move away from iTunes match and I would love to be able to stream music from my home server over the internet to listen at work and on mobile.
The first part of this feature would be a general improvement of navigation of music in the web interface:
[]Create playlists outside of iTunes (maybe in the web interface)
[]Shuffle in web interface
Play all songs by album, genre, artist, playlist, etc without digging into the heirarchy too much
The second and killer feature would be to either modify the mobile app (iOS in my case) or create a new one that uses these new features and allows you to pull your music locally to your device so you can stream on the go or download to your device for a trip.
I think this would be awesome as a replacement to Google Music / iTunes Match / Amazon Cloud that many of us would find useful and prefer over remote cloud solutions. Personally, I would buy a separate iOS app optimized for this.
That being said, keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing the new things you guys come up with and remaining a plex pass member.
+1
I would rather have this than have to use Spotify/Grooveshark/Pandora on my phone or work computer.
We have similar ideas: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/46307-section-of-web-client-optimized-for-musicaudio/
Playlist support would make the music section worthwhile.
I’m game with either the iTunes channel working or putting playlists in plex music
