Plex as a music service Sonos - PMS on Synology DSM7

Server Version#: 1.25.1.5286

This is a first post here, so please forgive any errors or omissions.

I have recently acquired a Sonos Beam gen 2 and associated sub and speakers. Set up as Home Theatre system which is working as expected. I had PMS running on my main windows desktop pc purely to serve local media. Having tried every which way to get the Sonos app to recognise the library and failed I decided to install PMS on my Synology Diskstation 1515+ to create a centralised media server. the actual media files were copied to the DS and then PMS pointed at them to build new libraries.
That instalation went fine after realising I should use the Windows version of the instalation downloads rather than one of the arm versions. After some permission wrangling it is now running fine and I can access the media via the Plex windows app on various machines around the house and also via the plex app on my android mobile. By access I mean browse through the folders and play items in them.
However, I have so far failed to be able to browse the Plex media from the Sonos apps (windows and android). There is a message “unable to browse music”. Having searched the internet and found some references to a similar problem a couple of years ago I tried searching for particular media and was surprised to be presented with the option to play it from either the DS or PC PMS installations. Selecting the DS one results in it playing perfectly.
On the basis that the Sonos system is able to play the searched music I assume that the permissions are correct. I have trawled through the settings of both Plex and Sonos and haven’t seen anything that looks as though it might block/allow browsing from Sonos. However, I am not familiar with the intricacies of either. Is anyone able to tell me how to enable browing of the Plex media using the Sonos app?

Thanks.
