Great idea I love it. I'm slowly getting my house upgraded, and most everything is tied through my router and it's great to have direct access to this material.

Browsing Plex music library on any client -> playing flac direct on my DLNA amp - without a PHT PC in between -would be a dream…

All the nice Features are nothing for me without this Function.
I Need to use UPNPBouble. So many Features are not avalible.
But for serious Music Listener Plex Clients are not usable.
Sorry Guys

This is simply a must! Sitting on the couch, browsing Plex media and picking the receiver/TV to play it... isn't this one of the primary use cases?
+1 Definately needed. Pushing plex playlists to DMR would be a fab option for plex pass subscribers. Another would be to be able to save the plex playlist as a permanent playlist.
+1.
Mediabriwser can do it (and control TV volume) so the superior plex should too!
+1 Liked the first post to vote. Specifically, want to be able to use any plex app (including web app) as a DLNA control point. Also want a "party mode" where I can stream music to multiple DLNA renderers throughout my house ala airplay/itunes so I can play the same song to all my speakers.

Too many ‘+1’, the way this works is that you ‘Like’ the first post, +1 means nothing!

I have 7.1 amplifier for films and dnla/upnp/shareplay stereo amp (hegel h160) for music. I want to use plex on tv or android to play music direct to the stereo amp as it sounds much better quality.
Currently have to use squeezebox server (which is great), but discontinued. This functionality would effectively add multi-room audio and if via upnp would allow sonos to work correctly…
Today the Plex Server find my DSD Files ;-). A beginning?
Great feature request - most DLNA browsers are horrible, as it is on my Yamaha AV system. Being able to use a Plex controller would be a great improvement.
The other reason - Chromecast, Apple TV and a lot of other receivers require audio to be transcoded down to ACC or similar - sending it direct to an DLNA player would mean no more transcoding for TrueHD, DTS-HD etc.
+1 for me - would be a brilliant feature. Have an Oppo BDP 103D and Synology DS716+, but the Oppo DLNA browser is hideous.
