Plex avec 2 serveurs

Hello, I’m trying to have a single plex account with two servers connected to it, I’m trying to find a solution but I’m pulling my hair out on this problem. Does anyone know the solution? Is there really a solution?

A single Plex account can have multiple servers.

Install and claim them separately.

On Synology, do not use the version of PMS available in Package Manager. It is outdated. Instead, download the current release from plex.tv and perform a manual installation.

To claim a server on Synology, point a browser at the IP address of the NAS: http://syno_ip_address:32400/web. For example, if the IP address is 10.1.2.3, use http://10.1.2.3:32400/web.

Once you have claimed both servers, they should appear in your list of Authorized Devices and also be accessible via https://app.plex.tv/desktop/.

If you still have trouble claiming the servers, please reply with some additional information.

Plex Media Server version for each server - 1.29.2, 1.30.0, etc.
Synology model?
DSM 6 or 7?

If not Synology, what platform - Win10/Linux/etc?

If possible, upload the server log files to the thread.

On Synology systems, if you cannot reach Settings → Troubleshooting,
Login to DSM

  • In Package Manager, Stop Plex Media Server
  • In File Station, navigate to the Plex Data Folder.
  • Right click on the Logs directory and compress to Logs.zip.
  • Download and attach to the thread (drag into message window, will upload at cursor location).
