I just set up my tp link XE75 mesh, and plex no longer lets me connect remotely. Some of my devices don’t work on 6E, so they have to connect to the 2.4/5ghz network. plex wont let them load the server. I did some digging and tried to do the reserve ip in deco app. and had plex “manually specify public port” and now I cant connect to it even if I’m hard wired in. how do I uncheck “manually specify public port” if my computer wont connect to my server through plex
after screwing with the port forward and address reservations in my router settings. I had to launch plex through hex os/truenas scale and re enable remote access. Not sure why it worked and gave me my options back when opening it from truenas/hexos, but what ever I got it working. not sure which of those fixed it, but if you are having issues like mine; this is what I did.
