Anyone having an issue where Plex stops buffering and says connection not fast enough? I’ve never had this problem until 2 weeks ago. Happens on both shields in the house as well as my 4K firestick. All 3 are hard wired to my gigabit network. Happens on all content…ranging from 3mbps all the way to 4K content at 65mbps so it isn’t what I’m playing.
Having the same exact issue here although my shield is using WIFI. Just started recently too. Tried changing the video player on the shield, and tried changing WIFI networks although everything looks good, plenty of bandwidth (220+Mbps) and no issues when using other streaming apps on the shield.
Yep. Every movie. Every client. Every four minutes. (EDIT: also, in my case, I have to hit “retry” multiple times to get the movie started again. Sometimes twice. Sometimes four times. Seems to vary by movie. I haven’t paid enough attention to determine a pattern of any sort.)
For the sake of completeness, I just checked, and the server version is 4.51.1, Windows 10. I… erm, just realized I have no idea how to check the version of the web client on the server machine (and thus will assume it’s the same as the server version). The Roku TV and Roku stick do auto-updates, and I just had the Android client ask me to do an update (which I did) three nights ago, so I know that’s up to the latest and greatest.
Seems fairly consistent to me. Happens on the nvidia shield 2019 pro within an hour – it just puts up the spinner, says either the server or connection is too slow (I forget which), and never continues. Doesn’t happen in a web browser, or a roku client, or even the nvidia shield 2017. Still trying to isolate it further but it has been pretty frustrating so far.
Same TV running plex (Roku smart TV) doesn’t exhibit this problem. Emby client running on the same nvidia shield does not exhibit this problem. Amazon Prime video, netflix, hulu on the same nvidia shield has no issues.
So it doesn’t “seem” to be server related, nor WIFI/connection related, or media related. Also tried going back to the old player, and that did not help either.

Note the server thinks the playback got paused, but the client is still showing the rotating ring in the middle of the screen like it’s trying to continue, but it never does. The two logs were actually taken from two separate times the shield got stuck, so the times don’t line up.
