Plex Camera Upload

Hi,

I have a couple of questions about the Camera Upload feature.

  1. I’ve set up a library and folder location for the Plex mobile app to sync to and upload all of my iPhone camera roll to. But from there I usually like to sort my photos manually into folders by year and event. If I remove photos that have been uploaded from the Plex mobile app from the upload folder, will the mobile app see that particular photos have been moved and then will it try and upload it from my phone again? Or does the mobile app keep a log of the photos it has uploaded and only ever uploads them once?

  2. I want to turn the Camera Upload feature on for my wife’s phone as well. If I set it up to upload to the same folder as mine is it likely to overwrite my files or have write issues seeing as it automatically names photos with their date and time stamp? If for the very odd occasion we have taken two different photos on the same day at the same time, would Plex have an issue uploading one of the photos or would it overwrite an existing photo with the same file name?

I could always upload her photos to another folder, but I wanted to ask the question so I could potentially use the one upload folder as a staging and sorting area for photos.
