The MKV file is named: Navy Seals (1990). This name came from Filebot using the Moviesdb. I also tried OMDB but got the same results. Used the rename feature for the file. asked Plex to rescan the library and it still does not want to pick it up. Next steps please…?
What do you mean by Plex doesn’t want to pick it up?
Is the file not showing in Plex at all or do you see it in your library but it’s not getting any metadata?
If it’s not matching… what agent are you using for that library?
I’ve added a dummy file to my library, naming it as Navy Seals (1990) and Plex found the file and properly matched it – same for an attempt to manually fix-match another movie (however there it only worked on the 2nd attempt):
Hello Tom80H - To answer your questions… 1) The file is not showing in Plex at all. The file is in the same folder as the other movie files… just that this one is not being recognized and imported into Plex.
How can I tell what agent I am using…? Sorry I am new to this Plex thing… I don’t know how to tell you what agent it is using. but Filebot found it using he MovieDB provider.
It sounds like my issue is going to be this agent thing…
In this case we can ignore the agent for now.
Can you share how that file is named (ideally also how it’s organized in your movie library folder). In addition… can you filter your library for duplicates to see if it might have been added but merged with an existing movie?
