A lot of my tv-shows have either disapperad or are missing huge amounts of episodes or are in the Plex server incorrectly.
As this season for example:
This is how the episodes are shown in the actual folder (That I havent changed for years)
And this is Season 2 that doesnt show in Plex at all. The episode on top I tried to rename to see if that was the issue, but it still doesn’t show up.
I don’t know if you have the same problem but it’s worth a try. If this fixes your problem too, I guess it’s a bug
Server Version#: 1.32.1.6999

I have a TV show with 3 seasons.
season 1 and 2 are complete, season 3 is running.
a few days back Plex server had an update which I installed; all ok.
Yesterday a new episode was added to season 3. the general naming was ‘someshow.S03E0x.somestuff.mkv’, except for one episode, which was in ‘someshow.s03e0x.somestuff.mkv’. Now only that one show was listed.
Moving the entire show to a different location, doing the database scan, delete …

Yeah I tried to remove all tv-shows to different folder and then scan, etc and then move them back, but the issue persisted.
This is one of the weirdest bugs yet and makes me wanna yeet my plex computer out the window xD
I mean changing the S01E01 to lower case. s01e01
That seems to be his problem and I’ve seen a few other people say the same thing
Yeah but should we be expexted to change this for thousands of files Manually?
If it is a bug then it should clearly be adressed
Sorry I just realized you’re still on version 1.32.1.6999
There was a fix for certain matching problems in Windows in the latest server update
I would try to upgrade and see if that fixes it
Plex Media Server 1.32.2.7100 is now available to Plex Pass users in the Beta update channel.
NEW:
(Library) Add additional episode deletion policy for ‘after a month’ (#14059)
(Network) IPv6 addresses within the server’s configured network prefix are now considered local for bandwidth allocation purposes (#14234)
(Network) IPv6 network blocks are now supported in the LAN Networks preference (#14234)
(Transcoder) Added HDR tone mapping support for Intel Arctic Sound-M and Meteor Lake GPUs (#1…
If it doesn’t fix your problem I’m only telling you what might be causing causing it.
I just gave you a way to test it or use the workaround until it’s fixed permanently

Oh thanks! Gonna go and get the beta update asap!
It doesn’t seem to want to update properly. It finds the update, i choose to download it, and then install…
Then I get this for a while…
But then it just jumps back to →
Honestly, I’ve never updated to a beta build but I thought you had to go to the download page to do that
It looks like inside the UI you’re only getting the public release
Try going here
