Been using plex awhile. For some time it has been having an issue with “looking for server” forever and never finding it. I was able to still play on ipad and it was even still updating the folder, but it would never find it when looking on my desktop. I updated the app on my Samsung Smart tv and it was never able to find the server. I had uninstalled and reinstalled the server several times and it never came back when using Opera or Chrome.
I looked at several options on this forum and others and found some videos on youtube that did not seem to work. I decided to delete my account and create a new one to see if that did anything. However, that proved to do nothing. After redownloading the server and attempting to start fresh that still did nothing. There was never a server found on the plex.tv dashboard. And the popup window never came up when I redownloaded plex.
I have since gotten the account back, however now I am trying to start from scratch again with this account. Thanks!
