I was just watching a movie on Plex about 3 hours ago. When the next movie was supposed to come on nothing played and gave an error. Now Plex cannot find my media server. My Synology diskstation is on and I did restart it. I got nothing. The Plex server address doesn’t even load up. The app just shows Plex shows, nothing for my server. Any information to please help. Not sure why all of a sudden i just stopped working.

my server on synology ds 218+ used to work, but suddenly stopped working. now it wont pick up the server. have removed and uninstall plex from synology and reinstall but still the sever is not picked up. also whenever i would try to connect through synology dsm, it will give me error that sorry this package cannot be accessed when connected via quickconnect

I am running plex on a Synology 1819+.
After clicking the claim it button, it would not claim the server.
I used this procedure referenced above and the server had a pop up dialogue stating it could not claim the server.
I have also tried the claimit.exe for windows and stats the connection was closed.
I would like to resolve this, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for offering help. A new update, I finally got the server to be claimed. Now the issue is that is goes off and on line. Currently, it is showing off line.

I looked at your posts and a few things stood out. I have only one ethernet cable plugged into the NAS but do run a VPN. I again rebooted the nas and was able to claim it which is the good news. For some reason running the original procedure outlined above made plex sho two instances. After claiming it, I rebooted again and now plex only shows one instance. The issue is now resolved and i appreciate your help.
