Plex cannot find TV Tuner

Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO and/or HDHomeRun FLEX 4K

My Plex server on my Qnap can’t find any TV Tuners. I keep getting the “We couldn’t find any hardware we recognize, but will continue to look for available devices.” message.

I created a new server on a PC, called “Live TV” and it immediately recognized both HD Homerun devices. The PC, the Qnap, and both tuners are all connected to the same network. I tried turning off Qfirewall and restarting the Qnap plex server to no avail.

Any tips?

First order of business – Check the LAN IP, netmask, and make certain you don’t have any VLAN involvement.

QNAP has a firewall. Make sure that’s not blocking you.

If it can immediately be found on one machine but not the other then it has to be machine configuration (QNAP) specific.
